Beijing (Asian Metal), September 23, 2026 — China’s black silicon carbide producers held 33,500 MT of inventory in August, compared with 130,000 MT in the same month last year and 54,000 MT in July.
Producer inventories fell 74.23% year over year and 37.96% month over month.
From January through August 2026, the average monthly inventory held by Chinese black silicon carbide producers was 59,700 MT, down 44.51% from 107,580 MT during the same period last year.

Gansu and Ningxia Hold the Largest Inventories
In August, Gansu and Ningxia were the two provinces with the largest black silicon carbide producer inventories in China.
Gansu held 14,700 MT of black silicon carbide inventory, down 76.02% year over year and 46.55% month over month.
Ningxia held 12,000 MT, down 74.74% year over year and 22.58% month over month.
